Art & Soul of a Woman

Cory Issner Jakl, Artist

“My art is all about the woman and the beauty of femininity. There is a repetitive need in me to bring these stylized women into being. It never ceases to amaze me that from nothing (as I stare at the blank paper) comes something, as though it was meant to be there all along.”

—Cory Issner Jakl

Greeting Cards

Opening up one’s mailbox and finding a card or note, whose envelope has been personally addressed, is somewhat of a novelty these days.

Yet who doesn’t love setting aside the other mail or going through it quickly, just to enjoy the “good one”!

Whether it’s a birthday card, a “thinking about you” card, or even a blank card for your own personal messages, these little pieces of art are a joy to receive.

Prints

Perhaps an original piece of art one may have had their eye on, has been previously sold.  Or maybe an original piece of art is not an option just now.

A print, beautifully matted and framed, is a wonderful choice, alone or in groupings.  Whether for your own home or as a personal offering to a lucky recipient, a print is a gift that is not only personal, but quite special.

Journals

A quiet spot, a cup of tea, some favorite “go to” books, and a journal with a blank page – a place for thoughts, ideas, lists.  These beautiful little books make a perfect gift for a special friend, or as a treat for oneself.  There are a variety of designs to choose from; the rest is up to you!

Notepads

We all love our lists!  And there is something gratifying about using a pen and paper in order to refer to or cross off, anything that has been completed or is no longer needed.

So why not have an inspiring and lovely notepad with which to do so?  Don’t forget to treat yourself to a cuppa and some cookies – it helps list-making become more palatable!

Judaica

These art prints are a modern version of the Judaic art many of us are familiar with.  Again, my leaning towards the feminine is visible in my pieces.  Combining Hebrew letters in words or phrase, together with the art and an English counterpart,  is how I express my love of painting Jewish themes.

A multitude of designs provide ample choices for embellishing one’s home.
